Yesterday I finished the last workout - #27 - of the Couch to 5K program. My pace and distance for that 30 minute session was 10.44 and 2.79 miles, respectively. I wanted to see if I could run 3.1 miles without stopping, no matter what the time/pace would be, so today I used the free run part of the app to run until I reached 3.1 miles. It said I ran 3.13 miles in 29.10 minutes, pace was 9.18.
I'm honestly a little incredulous. It didn't feel like my pace was that much faster today.
My question is this: Has anyone noticed a difference in the measurements between the 'workout' part of the app and the 'free run' part? I previously did some speed intervals a few times, just for something different, using the free run segment. The pace it recorded seemed faster than I thought I could run. I'm honestly not bragging here - I truly want to know if anyone has noticed a difference in the measurements in these 2 parts of the program. Thanks in advance for your input!
